Do you love sketch challenges?
Sketches are a wonderful way to jumpstart your creativity. Following a sketch exactly is fun, but sometimes, it sparks new ideas to try, a sort of starting point for you to begin creating.
Although, if you are entering challenges, most times, they would like you to follow as closely to the sketch as possible. But that doesn't mean you can't create other cards using your own ideas based on sketches.
Your masterpiece is waiting, just around the corner!
This week is a Sketch Challenge for the Global Design Project #350.
This is the sketch:
This is the card I created:
I started with Basic White cardstock for my card base. The next layer is Petal Pink cardstock with another layer using the beautiful Splendid Day DSP from Stampin' Up!
The circle and sentiment banner are from Stylish Shapes Dies.
The image on the envelope flap was stamped with Pool Party ink.
Inside the card is a layer of Basic White cardstock with a stamped image as well as a die cut from the DSP added over the iamge.
A closer look at the layering.
The first image layer is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink and die cut. I then used the die cuts on Petal Pink, Fresh Freesia and the DSP and layered these over the stamped image.
The sentiment was stamped with Pool Party. Soft Sea Foam Ribbon was wrapped around the DSP, under the banner.
I finished off my card by adding Iridescent Pearls.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I hope I've inspired you in some way to create your own masterpiece!
