Libby's Craft Studio: Zoo Crew & Hello, Irresistible Cards

It's that time of year again! It's time for the Fall Creativate Retreat which is happening this Friday and Saturday!!

Every three months throughout the year, this group of fabulous ladies (Jackie Bolhuis, Connie Stewart, Brandy Cox, Sharon Armstrong) hold a Retreat with so much inspiration! Not to mention all the fabulous projects they share and all the laughs as well!

I look forward to each retreat and can't wait for the next one before the current one ends!! There are lots of LIVE videos and it's so fun to participate in the chat room! Prizes are awarded after each live event as well.

They offer an Early-Bird registration and if you sign up within these days, you will receive four fabulous fun folds!

Registration is open until the day of the retreat.

Pre-Retreat Challenges are also offered each Monday, leading up to the Retreat. This helps to get your creativity going with these fun challenges.

Once you register for the event, you can join the private FB group where you can post your creations and view all the creativity! This in itself is very inspiring!

The Fall Retreat will be held October 13-14, 2023.

The 4th Pre-Retreat Challenge is a "Sketch Challenge."

Once I got going on this card sketch, I had to use the Zoo Crew DSP for a really fun card! Plus a more elegant card using the Hello, Irresistible DSP.

Below are more photos with some close ups of each card, along with the products used.

Card 1:

For this card, I used Crumb Cake cardstock for my card base, with Lemon Lolly & Petal Pink cardstock layers.

These images were all fussy cut from the DSP. These little critters are so fun! They were adhered onto various colors of cardstock - Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink & Crumb Cake.

For the focal image, the sentiment is from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set, using Lemon Lime Twist ink for the "Hello" and Memento ink for the "friend." The small flower was stamped using Petal Pink ink with a single Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the center.

Linen Thread was doubled up and tied in a bow and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot in the upper corner.

Wink of Stella was brushed on the "Hello" for a little sparkle.

Inside my card is Basic White cardstock with another cute little critter fussy cut for the lower corner. I also stamped three small flowers using Petal Pink ink.

On the front of the envelope I stamped the "Hello" in Lemon Lime Twist with a cute little flower stamped using Petal Pink ink, just above the "O."

Card 2:

For this card, I used Pretty Peacock cardstock for my card base, followed by Basic White cardstock.

The squares were cut from Hello, Irresistible DSP.

The focal image is from the Irresistible Blooms Bundle. The flower was stamped using Flirty Flamingo ink and the leaves using Pretty Peacock ink.

The sentiment was also stamped using Pretty Peacock ink and adhered with dimensionals.

Linen Thread was looped twice for a double bow and adhered behind the flower, which was adhered with dimensionals.

The embellishments used are Loose Frosted Dots.

The flower image was also stamped on the front of the envelope and on the envelope flap. I also stamped "Hello" over the flower using Pretty Peacock ink.

Inside my card is Basic White cardstock with two flowers stamped using Flirty Flamingo ink. To achieve the lighter shade, I stamped the flower in the lower corner at full strength and in the upper portion of the card, stamped the image again, without reinking the stamp.
