Modern Garden Birthday Card

This card was created for the...

Paper Craft Crew Tic Tac Toe Challenge #537.

 

I chose the row across the center: Embossing, Leaves, Sequins

For my "Birthday" card, I used the Stampin' Up! Modern Garden Stamp Set, Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks (stencils), Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder, Garden Walk DSP, Pearlized Enamel Effects (Basics) and several dies, which I will mention below.

For my card base I used Calypso Coral cardstock followed by layers of the Garden Walk DSP.

To create the bottom portion of the Calypso Coral cardstock, I used the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks (I always call them stencils), Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics (I used the White) and the Palette Knives.

It works best to adhere the cardstock in place along with the stencil so they don't move around (I used post it tape).

I squeezed a bit of the Pearlized Enamel onto my Silicone Mat and using the Palette Knife, I simply smoothed the enamel over the stencil, making sure to cover all the areas, creating a thin layer.

Gently lift off the stencil and set the cardstock aside to dry completely.

To clean my stencil & palette knife, I used a baby wipe.

The circle behind the flowers was die cut from the Deckled Circles Dies and also embossed using the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder.

The flowers were stamped using Calypso Coral, Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat inks.

There are no dies with this stamp set, so I fussy cut all the flowers.

The leaves were die cut from the Magical Meadow Dies using Garden Green cardstock.

To add some sparkle on my card, I used Wink of Stella and hit it onto my Bone Folder to create splatters on the whole front of the card.

The sentiment was stamped using Calypso Coral ink and die cut using Stylish Shapes Dies.

The ribbon behind the large flower is Calypso Coral Braided Linen Trim, which was looped into a bow and adhered behind it and adhered onto the circle with dimensionals.

The two tiny flowers were also fussy cut and adhered with dimensionals.

Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins were added in the two tiny flower centers and randomly around the flowers.

The beautiful DSP was also added on the envelope flap.  So, so pretty!

Inside my card is Basic White cardstock with a strip of DSP along the right.  The sentiment was stamped using Calypso Coral ink.
