Maker's Mojo Creative Escape

This fun retreat was held October 20 & 20, 2023. It's a perfect way to get inspiration and see everyone's awesome projects.

Presentation #10 by Wendy Lee - Swinging Surprise (inspired by Susan Campfield)

For my "Oh What Fun" Christmas card, I used the Stampin' up! So Very Merry Stamp Set, Deckled Circles, Elegant Borders and Stylish Shapes Dies, Shining Christmas Specialty Paper, More Dazzle Specialty Paper & Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.

This was such a fun card to create! I love the "swinging" element!

For my card base, I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Had to add a little "dazzle" on this card as well!

The sentiment was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and die cut using Stylish Shapes Dies. A smaller die cut was used with Old Olive cardstock and cut in half and adhered on each end of the sentiment.

The ribbon is Gold Trim (from the Gold & Silver Combo Pack), tied in a bow and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot on the swinging mechanism.

The image was stamped with Memento ink and colored with Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, Orchid Oasis, Azure Afternoon & Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends Markers.

Wink of Stella was added on the trim on Santa's hat and pompom.

The image was die cut using the 2 3/8 Circle Punch and adhered with dimensionals onto the Old Olive cardstock, which was die cut using Deckled Circles Dies.

Inside my card DSP on the right with a strip of More Dazzle Specialty Paper. On the Basic White cardstock, the sentiment was stamped using Cherry Cobbler ink and the leaf using Mossy Meadow ink.

More Dazzle Paper was used for the border strip which was die cut using Elegant Borders Dies and adhered behind the DSP before adhering in the inside panel of the card base.

The strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the front panel of the card was embossed using Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.

Using my White ink pad, I lightly brushed the pad over the raised portions of the cardstock to enhance the snowflakes.

DSP was also added on the envelope flap.
