I created today's card for the...
Color Throwdown Challenge #764.
The Stampin' Up! colors I used are Granny Apple Green, Azure Afternoon and Pumpkin Pie.
For my "Friend" card, I used the Stampin' Up! Pick of the Patch Bundle, Fruitful Blessings Stamp Set, Bag of Bones Dies, Stylish Shapes & Scalloped Contours Dies.
Granny Apple Green cardstock was used for my card base. To off-set the way the blue and green kind of blended in together, I added a layer of Basic White cardstock between the layers.
The Azure Afternoon cardstock was die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies and adhered to the Basic White cardstock. Next, I embossed both layers together using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
Azure Afternoon Ribbon from the Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack, was wrapped around the layers and tied in a knot, and, finally, adhered these layers onto the card base with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the Fruitful Blessings Stamp Set, stamped using Azure Afternoon ink and die cut with Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered the sentiment with dimensionals.
Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins embellishments added a little sparkle to my card.
The pumpkins were stamped using Pumpkin Pie ink and the stems & leaves using Granny Apple Green ink.
Some of the pumpkins were die cut using the Pick of the Patch Builder Punch and the rest of the pumpkins were fussy cut. The leaves and stems were die cut using the Pick of the Patch Builder Punch as well.
For the grass, I used a die from the Bag of Bones Dies and Granny Apple Green cardstock. I die cut several layers and added a little more "color" to the grass with a blending brush and Granny Apple Green ink.
The grass was staggered into three layers, adhering only the sides and very bottom of the front layer of grass (leaving room to tuck the pumpkins behind).
The stems were adhered behind each pumpkin and the pumpkins arranged and adhered together. Dimensionals were adhered behind the tops of the pumpkins and the pumpkins tucked just slightly behind the first row of grass.
The leaves were adhered randomly.
I stamped a leaf image on the envelope flap and on the front of the envelope using Granny Apple Green ink.
Inside my card is Basic White cardstock which was die cut using Scalloped Contours Dies. An additional pumpkin was adhered in the lower corner and the leaf image stamped 2nd generation beside it.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.
