The Paper Players Challenge #603 & Stampin' Up! Fresh Cut Flowers

Hello again!

I've been a busy beaver creating cards for challenges!

This card is for The Paper Players Challenge #603 - Birthday Theme.

I'm always needing birthday cards, so naturally, I had to join in on this challenge.

I started with my card base in Mint Macaron then layered with DSP from Design A Daydream.
These are pretty papers that don't get enough recognition... so I'm trying to reach for them more to create my cards.

The next layer is Basic White which was layered with Vellum.

I stamped the pretty image on the envelope front and the flap.
The images are from Fresh Cut Flowers.  I love this stamp set!  The images are so elegant!

For this technique, I stamped the image with VersaMark and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

And, as always, I have a story about my embossing powders.
I almost always use the White embossing powder.... but I switched it up for another project and used Gold.  Well, the gold didn't get fully cleaned out of the embossing tray and I used the White powder.  When I emptied the tray into the white container, I noticed the gold flecks in it!
Just great!  So, I decided to just go with it and used it for this project.

The results are actually pretty cool... for this project anyhow!  I'm loving the tiny flecks of gold here and there on the image.  I think it makes it look a bit more realistic.

Thank goodness I have another container of White EP so I can keep the other as it is and have a straight white container again!

The sentiment is from Charming Sentiments and the dies cut so close to the sentiment that there is barely any wiggle room.  So you better get it right the first time.  No pressure there at all.  Haha

So, after heat embossing the image, I flipped it over and colored with Stampin' Blends.  I chose the colors that were listed on the Design A Daydream DSP package.  Doesn't matter which colors you mix and match, they always work so well together!  Gotta love that!

When you flip the image back over, it's a masterpiece!  It's so pretty... and again... that stamp set is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

I added Linen Thread behind the sentiment and adhered with dimensionals.

For inside the card, I chose Basic White and stamped the image in Mint Macaron.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my card.
