Stampin' Up! Butterfly Kisses DSP & Explosion Card

Hello and welcome to my regular Wednesday post.
I have a fun fold card to share with you today featuring the Butterfly Kisses Designer Series Paper.  These papers are so fun and bright.  If you haven't added this collection to your stash, you really should consider it.  The papers are so pretty!

For my explosion fun fold card, I started with Starry Sky cardstock as my base.  The next layer is using the Butterfly Kisses DSP.  The diamond shape in the center is adhered with dimensionals.
The quote is from the Wildflower Path stamp set.

These cute little flowers were created using the Flowers & Leaves Punch.  I used the score tool from the Stampin' Up! Score Board to give a little life to the flowers by circling the score tool in the middle of the flower (on the piercing mat) which lifted the flower.

I then bent the petals for more dimension.  Two of the flowers were adhered onto the card with mini dimensionals, the other with liquid adhesive.

Using Parakeet Party ink I stamped the flower images and added Pearl Basic Jewels in their centers.

The inside of my card was the FUN part!

The border punch had holes... lots of holes, and I knew I needed to do something to make this more interesting.

So, using the new In Colors Twine (Starry Sky) and Stampin' Blends (Dark Starry Sky), I colored the twine so it would show better on the card.

Pretty fast technique.  I only had to wait a short time for the twine to dry.

Then I threaded a needle, and using a pencil, figured out how I could create my design evenly on the border strip, and began stitching!

I love how it turned out!  It brings an added interest to the card when you open it up.  This strip was added at the top and bottom of the card.

Here's the card opened up to reveal all the pretty papers, stitching and sentiment.

More tiny flower images were stamped on the greeting portion, along with the sentiment and it wasn't complete unless I added embellishments on the inside of the card too!

Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope I've inspired you in some way to make a card and mail a card!
