Stampin' Up! Petal Park

 Global Design Project - CASE the Designer Challenge #380.

This is such a pretty card to CASE! 

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

When you CASE a project, you take what you like from the design and make it your own.  It might be the stamp set, colors, layout, theme, images... whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.

Here's the card I created using the Stampin' Up! Petal Park Stamp set, Spring Blessings Stamp set (front sentiment) and Something Fancy Stamp set (inside sentiment) and Fine Shimmer Paper.  

FYI:  The Fine Shimmer Paper is GORGEOUS in person!  You get 2 sheets each of Fresh Freesia, Soft Succulent & Gold.

My card base is Basic White cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2.

The next later is the Fine Shimmer Paper cut at 4 x 5 1/4 with the final layer Basic White measuring 5 x 3 3/4 and embossed using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

Dimensionals were added behind the Fine Shimmer Paper before adhering onto the card front.

Wink of Stella was added in the center of each flower.

The background blending was added before I embossed it.  Using my blending brush and Fresh Freesia ink I added ink little by little until I got the desired color.

The flowers were stamped with Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue, Pale Papaya & Blushing Bride inks.

This is a two-step stamping, so the outline of each flower was stamped full strength and the next stamp was stamped off once (on to a scrap paper) then stamped onto the flower for a lighter image.

The flowers were adhered with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Spring Blessings stamp set, inked with Fresh Freesia, trimmed and each end cut at a slant and finally adhered with dimensionals.

Linen Thread was tied in a small bow and tucked under one corner of the sentiment, adhering with a single Mini Glue Dot.

The finishing touches are Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems.

Inside my card is another layer of Basic White measuring 4 x 5 1/4 with a 3/4 inch strip of Fine Shimmer Paper added on the left.  The flower images and sentiment were stamped with Fresh Freesia ink.

The sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set.

I created the same process on the envelope flap by adding some Fresh Freesia ink then embossing the flap.
