Stampin' Up! Best Day

 Just Add Ink Challenge #638... Choose Two!

From the three choices above, I chose Celebration & Cake.

I used the Stampin' Up! Best Day stamp set along with Fragrant Flowers Dies and Favored Flowers DSP to create my birthday card.

For my card base I used Fresh Freesia cardstock.  Lots of layers on this card.

The layers are Fresh Freesia cardstock and Favored Flowers DSP.  This is a DSP that I just passed by in the Sale-A-Bration catalog, but once I received it in person, I saw first hand how beautiful this paper really is.  Yes, there are lots of dark colors, but this DSP is two-sided.  On the other side are more beautiful colors.  Pair this DSP with a lighter cardstock and you have a beautiful card!

Now, a little more about my card.

The image was stamped with Memento ink.  Using my blending brush and Fresh Freesia ink, I lightly added some color on the cake.

The edges were blended using Blackberry Bliss ink.

I colored the cake using Blackberry Bliss, Petal Pink and Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends markers.

The ribbon is White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon which was colored using my Dark Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends.  Once dried I wrapped it around the card and tied in a bow.

The sentiment above the cake was colored with Dark and Light Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends.  I tried to get an ombre effect on the word "Happy."

For the embellishments, I added Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems.

What a beautiful envelope with this DSP added on the flap!

Inside my card is DSP layered with Basic White cardstock.  I lightly brushed the edges with Blackberry Bliss ink and my Blending Brush.  

The sentiment was stamped with Fresh Freesia ink.

And for a little more interest inside my card, I die cut this partial flower from the DSP to add on the right of  the sentiment.
