TGIF Sketch Challenge #455.
For my "Hello There" card, I used Stampin' Up! Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set, Perennial Lavender DSP and Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.
For my technique, I used the Stampin' Brayer to add ink onto the embossing folder before embossing.
My card base is Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
To create the background, the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder was inked with Gorgeous Grape ink. Simply roll the Stampin' Brayer over the ink pad and roll it onto the inside of the embossing folder. You can experiment and try rolling the brayer on one side and then on the other side of the embossing folder for different looks.
Place the cardstock over the un-inked side and close the folder and run it thought your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
The image was stamped using Pretty Peacock ink for the leaves and Highland Heather ink for the flowers.
The sentiment was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink onto Basic White, trimmed and flagged on the left. A scrap piece of DSP was adhered behind the sentiment.
Linen Thread was tied into a small bow and adhered onto the stamped image with a Mini Glue Dot.
Wink of Stella was brushed on the center of the flowers and dotted around the centers.
Purple Fine Shimmer Gems are the finishing touches on my card, adding them around the stamped image.
A closer look at the results. I think it's a really unique technique that would turn out differently each time, depending on how much or how little ink you choose to use.
Inside my card is Basic White cardstock. The image was stamped in the lower left with Highland Heather and Pretty Peacock inks.
A strip of DSP was adhered along the bottom and a smaller scrap of coordinating DSP layered partially over the DSP.
DSP was also adhered onto the envelope flap and trimmed.
