Libby's Craft Studio: Birthday Card with Detachable Bookmark

Today's fun card was created for the...

Creative Colour Challenge #125.

All three colors were used to create my birthday card with a detachable bookmark! How cool is that?

For my card, I used Stampin' Up! Thoughtful Expressions Bundle, Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder along with Take Your Pick Crafter Tips (the rotary perforating tool).

Basic White cardstock was used for my card base.

The Orchid Oasis cardstock was embossed with the Layered Florals 3D Embossing Folder.

When the card is opened, this beautiful bookmark is seen! Simply tear it off at the perforation and you have your bookmark. So fun!

Then you open the tag you see the inside of the card.

The Orchid Oasis cardstock was embossed with the same embossing folder. I also added splatters with Wink of Stella and Orchid Oasis ink mixed together with a Water Painter on the background

The flowers were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends Markers. Wink of Stella was brushed over the flowers.

The leaves were die cut with Parakeet Party cardstock.

Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon was looped in a large bow and adhered behind the flowers and adhered onto the bookmark with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The embellishments are 2022-2024 In Color Pearls.

Inside my card is Orchid Oasis cardstock layered with Basic White. Using a Blending Brush and Orchid Oasis ink, lightly added color around the edges.

The sentiment was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink.

The leaf was die cut with Parakeet Party cardstock.

Orchid Oasis ink and a Blending Brush was used to add color around the embossed cardstock to add a little shading.

Wink of Stella and Orchid Oasis ink were mixed together with a Water Painter to add splatters onto the background by hitting the brush onto the Bone Folder.

The background shape was die cut with Sweet Sorbet cardstock and die cut with the same shape with Basic White. The basic white die cut was cut in half and adhered onto each end of the Sweet Sorbet die cut.

The sentiment was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink onto Basic White and flagged on each end.

Multipurpose Liquid Glue was added on the left of the sentiment and two Stampin' Dimensionals and adhered partially over the flowers.

A hole punch was used to create the hole at the top of the bookmark. Ribbon added at the top of the bookmark.

Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon was also looped twice and adhered behind the flowers.

The floral image was stamped onto the envelope flap and on the front of the envelope with Orchid Oasis ink.
