My creation for today is a fun fold based on Mystery Stamping clues for our A Stamp Above Team Meeting.
I know I probably didn't create this card as it should be, but this is what I decided I liked the best. And isn't that what Mystery Stamping is all about? Your interpretation of the clues!
And I had so much fun creating and decorating this card!!
So, for my "Bee Mine" fun fold, I used Stampin' Up! Bee My Valentine Stamp Set, Thoughtful Expressions Dies and Bee Mine DSP.
Sweet Sorbet cardstock is my card base with layers of Bee Mine DSP.
Champagne Iridescent Dots were added on the 1" flap along the bottom.
These embellishments are loose and come in a container with no adhesive on them. To remedy that, I save all the sheets left over after using up all the Stampin' Dimensionals. Next, I add drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the sheets, in rows, leaving enough space for the embellishments. I set this sheet aside and let the glue become tacky.
Finally, I open up the container and pour a little of the embellishments in the cover of the container they come in and use my Take Your Pick tool to pick up the embellishments and press them onto each of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue dots.
That's it! Now, when you are ready to add the embellishments on your creations, simply use your Take Your Pick took to pick them up and add them on your card!
For the focal image, I die cut the shapes Basic White and Petal Pink cardstock using the Thoughtful Expressions Dies and layer them with Stampin' Dimensionals and adhere onto the card flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The bees were fussy cut from the DSP. Two were adhered with adhesive and one adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White with Sweet Sorbet ink, trimmed and flagged on the left and tucked behind the Petal Pink die cut shape.
The dotted "flight path" of the bee was stamped using Petal Pink ink.
When the flap of the card is opened up, there's another surprise!!
Another shape was die cut with Petal Pink cardstock. The honey jars and another bee were fussy cut from the DSP and adhered onto the die cut.
Linen Thread was wrapped around the inside flap twice and tied in a bow.
Another dotted "flight path" was stamped below the bee.
When the inside flap is opened up, yet another surprise awaits!
The sentiment was stamped using Sweet Sorbet ink.
More honey jars and another bee were adhered inside as well.
So fun!
