Libby's Craft Studio: #SimpleStamping Thinking of You Card

The Stampin' Up! July #SimpleStamping Challenge.

Theme: Thinking of You

Supplies: Stamps, Ink and Paper, with a focus on Online Exclusives.

The joy of paper crafting is something Stampin' Up! believes should be shared with everyone and that's why they started the #SimpleStamping campaign. By creating and sharing easy-to-make and inexpensive projects with the hope of showing beginner crafters how fun and easy paper crafting can be.

With that in mind, here is the card I created using the Irresistible Blooms & Timeless Charm Stamp Sets along with Hello, Irresistible DSP.

For my card base, I used Pretty Peacock cardstock followed by two layers of DSP.

The background cardstock strip was created using images from the Timeless Charm Stamp Set and Lost Lagoon, Daffodil Delight, Pretty Peacock, Soft Sea Foam and Flirty Flamingo inks, stamping the images horizontally along the cardstock and rotating the inks. The dotted image stamp is from Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set and was added on the entire cardstock strip.

The flowers are from the Timeless Charm Stamp set, stamped using Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo inks. The dotted stamp image was stamped using Soft Sea Foam in. I mat this layer onto Pretty Peacock cardstock and adhered onto the card front with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set and is not an Online Exclusive, but the focus was on the background and flowers which were from the Online Exclusives.

DSP was added on the envelope flap.

On the inside of my card, I added a layer of DSP followed by Basic White cardstock.

On the cardstock, I stamped two flowers using Flirty Flamingo & Daffodil Delight inks and the background dotted image using Soft Sea Foam. The Soft Sea Foam ink is so light and you are still able to write your message over it.
