Shaded Summer Fun Fold Thank You Card

I will be sharing a few of my creations for the next several days of my projects created for the Early Bird Bonus Tutorials as well as the Pre-Retreat Challenges.

My fourth card was created for the Early Bird Bonus Fun Fold Tutorial. 

For this fun fold card, I used the Stampin' Up! Shaded Summer stamp set along with Hues of Happiness DSP.

The card base is Melon Mambo cardstock.  DSP was added on the envelope flap.

After stamping the image using Melon Mambo ink onto Basic White cardstock, I added Wink of Stella on the flowers and because the ink wasn't fully dried, the Wink of Stella brush colored the white space of each flower image a pinkish color, which I thought was pretty cool.

Using the Blending Brush and Granny Apple Green, I lightly colored around the edges of the flower as well as inside the card.

Brushed Brass Butterflies finished off the card front.

The sentiment was stamped using Memento ink.  Using the cling stamp, I placed it over the stamping and traced around it with a pencil, fussy cut, erased any pencil marks and adhered with dimensionals.

White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was wrapped around the white cardstock and tied in a bow before adhering onto the card front.

Inside the card I stamped the sprig twice on the upper and lower corners.

Card Measurements:

Basic White: Card Front - 2 1/2 x 3 1/4, Inside Card - 3 3/4 x 5 1/4

Cardstock: Melon Mambo - 11 x 5 1/2, Score 1 3/4, 3 1/2, 5 1/4 & 7

With cardstock on paper trimmer, short side against the top and line up with the 1" mark on the right of the paper trimmer, put the cutting blade on the 1st score line and cut to the 3rd score line.  Flip the cardstock around and at the 1" mark, begin cutting from the 1st score line to the 3rd score line. 

Burnish folds the mountain, valley way with the center portion being scored outward (see photos above).

DSP: Cut 2 (for panels) - 1 1/2 x 3 1/4, Cut 4 (small panels) - 1 1/2 x 3/4, Cut 1 (inside center panel) - 

1 1/2 x 3 1/4
