Faux Porcelain Technique Card

 Tuesday Morning Sketches #692.

For my card I used a new technique called Faux Porcelain.  Pretty cool technique and quite simple too

I used the Stampin' Up! Country Bouquet stamp set along with Country Floral Lane & Country Gingham DSP.

My card base is Sweet Sorbet cardstock followed by the Country Floral Lane and Country Gingham DSP layers.

The sentiment was stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink onto Basic White cardstock and adhered with dimensionals.

Three strips of Real Red Ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Combo Pack, were adhered with Mini Glue Dots then folded under the DSP.

For my Faux Porcelain Technique, simply ink up an embossing folder on one side.  Lay Photo Paper face down onto the inked surface, fold the embossing folder and emboss with the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.  It does dry pretty fast, but in case it doesn't, you can heat set.  Then cut to your desired size.

I wouldn't never thought to use Photo Paper for this technique, but it's ingenious!  It creates a shiny and yes, porcelain, effect.  Absolutely love this!  Just imagine all the ink pad colors you could use with the different embossing folders.

Don't forget to decorate your envelope!  I added DSP on the flap and most times I also add a little stamping on the front left corner.

Inside my card is DSP layered with Basic White.  I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink.  For the center heart I inked the image and stamped off TWICE then stamped onto the cardstock the 3rd time to create a lighter image that doesn't interfere or overpower the sentiment.
