Creative Colour Challenge #CCC73.
I used these colors to showcase a technique that is so cool called Faux Porcelain.
I also used the Dainty Delight, Framed Occasions & Paradise Palms stamp sets to create my birthday card. No DSP used this time around!

For my card base I used Parakeet Party cardstock. The next layer is Mossy Meadow cardstock. The next layer is a "mystery" but keep reading to find out what I used for this technique.
My sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Paradise Palms stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink. I used the oval die from All That Dies and adhered with dimensionals.
The ribbon is White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon which was colored using Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends marker. Let the ribbon set for a minute or so... but it doesn't take long for the ink to dry.
Isn't this background the coolest?
Here's how to create this background:
Grab an ink pad and embossing folder. For my background I used Gray Granite ink with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. And now for the key "ingredient" which is PHOTO PAPER! That's right!
Once you have inked one side of the embossing folder, place the photo paper SHINY SIDE DOWN onto the ink and close the embossing folder. Make sure the paper doesn't move around. Run through your emboss machine. If the ink is a little wet, you can dry with your heat tool.
And cut the photo paper to your desired size.
This creates such a beautiful, and yes, porcelain shine to your card!
Try this technique with various ink pads and embossing folders and have fun creating so many backgrounds!
Here's a closer look at the background. I wish I could get the shine in the photo, but when you give it a try, you will see first hand how pretty it really is!
The embellishments are Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems which I colored with Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.
The floral image was stamped with Memento ink and I colored the flowers with Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends and the leaves with Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends.

For my envelope flap I stamped another of the flower images (partially) and along the bottom of the flap.

Inside my card is Basic White cardstock with the sentiment from the Stampin' Up! Framed Occasions stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink.
I stamped the other image with Memento ink so I could color the leaves with Parakeet Party Stampin' Blends.
