Maker's MoJo Creative Escape Summer 2023

What is Maker's MoJo?

This is an online event that includes 10 presentations by 5 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.

Events are held every quarter and are loads of fun!

There are albums so you can view the presentation examples for each project as well as share your own creations to become eligible for the grand prize drawing.

I've been attending these events for a couple of years now and each one gets better and better! I absolutely LOVE them!

Now, let's get to my project.

This card was created for Presentation #7 - Marvelous Masks

I used the Stampin' Up! Everlasting Beauty Stamp Set, Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set (for the sentiment) along with Deckled Rectangles Dies to create my "Hello" card.

For my card base I used Gorgeous Grape cardstock followed by a layer of Basic White cardstock, which was stenciled using the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks.

The smaller layer is Highland Heather cardstock and Basic White cardstock which were both die cut using Deckled Rectangle Dies.

On the Basic White cardstock, I added a light shading of color with Highland Heather ink and a Blending Brush.

The sentiment is from the Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set, stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink and trimmed.

The flower was stamped using Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather inks using the "Kissing Technique." I first stamped the image with Highland Heather ink and then lightly inked the top of the stamp in the Gorgeous Grape ink so the top of the flower was a bit darker. I tried using this technique all around the image, but I didn't like the results.

I finished off my card by adding Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

I also added some stenciling on the envelope flap, darker at the top and gradually getting lighter as I got to the bottom of the envelope flap.

Inside my card is Basic White cardstock. I did the same technique with this flower as well.
