Paper Florist Hello

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge #657.

For my "Hello" card, I used the Stampin' Up! Hello Ladybug Stamp Set (for the sentiment), Paper Florist Dies and Stylish Shapes Dies along with Masterfully Made DSP.

Do you have the Paper Florist Dies?  These dies are amazing, with so many different possibilities on creating such a variety of flowers!  It's so fun!

This is a must for your collection!

For my card base I used Basic White Cardstock with another layer of Basic White that was embossed using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder and lightly shaded around the edges using Pretty Peacock ink and a Blending Brush.

Using two of the papers from the Masterfully Made paper pack, I tore strips, distressed the edges with my scissors and layered them onto the card at an angle (as the sketch shows).

Next, I created splatters by tapping (with some pressure) my Wink of Stella brush onto my finger.  You can see the splatters a bit more clearly in the photos below.

Finally, I adhered this layer onto the card front with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set, stamped using Pretty Peacock ink and die cut using Stylish Shapes Dies and finally, adhered with dimensionals.

I die cut a variety of flowers from the Paper Florist Dies using Basic White, Berry Burst and Fresh Freesia Cardstock.  Then I got to work mixing and matching everything until I liked how the flowers looked.

Each layer of the leaves were curled under using a Bone Folder.  I also added a little character to the white flower petals with a Silicone Craft Mat and Simply Scored Stylus Tool to draw a line down the center of each of the top layer of flower petals.  The silicone mat provided just enough thickness to create a nice score line on each petal.

The leaves were die cut from DSP and folded on the score lines created from the die, to give a little dimension to the leaves.

For the embellishments I chose the Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio (Pretty Peacock).

Wink of Stella was brushed on each of the flower centers for a little sparkle.

Don't forget about your envelope!  I adhered a 2 1/2 x 6 piece of DSP onto the envelope flap.

I decided to "jazz" up the inside of my card to match the card front.

On a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, I shaded the top and bottom edges with Pretty Peacock ink and a Blending Brush.

Next, I tore a piece of DSP to adhere onto the basic white, distressing the edges with scissors.  And finally, I tore a piece of basic white, distressed the edges and inked the right and left edges before adhering in the center of the card.
