Stampin' Up! Irresistible Blooms Hello Card

 Creative Colour Challenges #CCC78.

The colors are darker than what I like when creating a card, but I went with it and this is what I came up with.  I still think it's a little too dark for my liking, but it is a pretty card.

I used the Stampin' Up! Irresistible Blooms Bundle and Hello, Irresistible DSP.

For my card base I chose Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  This color is fast becoming one of my favorite colors!  It really is such a pretty color!

The next layer is Rich Razzleberry cardstock which was embossed using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder.

Finally, I added DSP, two rectangles with a thin strip along the left.

The sentiment was stamped using Rich Razzleberry ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock.  I tucked the left side just under the flowers and flagged the end on the right to create the banner.

The leaves were stamped with Versamark ink onto Soft Suede cardstock and heat embossed using Clear Embossing Powder.  This gave the leaves a little shine, which was a cool effect on darker cardstock.

What I was hoping to create are leaves that have a sort of greenish look.  I think I came pretty close... as you can see in the following photos.   The leaves were then die cut and tucked behind the flowers.

On a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock (large enough to fit both flowers), I used a crumpled up piece of  the plastic wrap and dapped it into the Flirty Flamingo ink pad.  Next I dabbed straight down onto the cardstock to create a unique background.  This technique is the Plastic Wrap Technique.  It's a fun and easy way to create a little texture on your backgrounds.

After I achieve the look I wanted, using my heat tool, dried it completely.

Then I stamped the flower image with Versamark ink onto the cardstock and heat set using Black Embossing Powder.  Finally, the flowers were die cut.

Champagne Rhinestones Basic Jewels embellishments were colored using the Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends marker before adhering onto the card.

I used the same Plastic Wrap Technique on the Rich Razzleberry cardstock before completing the next steps as above.

Linen Thread was colored using Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend marker.  Once it dried, which only take a couple of minutes, I tied it in a bow and adhered with liquid adhesive.

This photo also shows the pretty embossing folder used from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders, which is a bundle of THREE folders!

Inside my card is Rich Razzleberry cardstock and Basic White cardstock.  The flowers were stamped using Rich Razzleberry ink.  I also added a strip of DSP along the bottom.

I decided on the lighter colored DSP to add on the envelope flap.
