Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder Card

Global Design Project Theme Challenge #371.

I have to confess that I haven't used the Stampin' Up! Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder very much... and it's such a beautiful image!

I kept everything white except for a touch of red in the center of the card and the splatters on the background.

I think it was the outdoor lighting that caused the flowers to have a yellowish tint to them.  But they are white... really.  I took another photo inside just to prove that they are indeed white!  The photos are a little darker, but you can still see WHITE flowers!

Ignore the "yellowish" flowers and let's talk about that beautiful embossing folder, ribbon and sentiment!

Inside my card I stamped the flower image and sentiment using Real Red ink.  The sentiment is from the Brightest Glow stamp set.

The background was scored every 3/4" both ways to create little squares... sort of like a tile effect.

Then, using my water painter and Real Red ink, splattered the background.

After embossing the background, it was adhered with dimensionals to add depth to my card.

Real Red cardstock was cut for the center to add a pop of color.  The sentiment was stamped with Real Red ink and die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and adhered with liquid adhesive. 

The White Glittered Organdy Ribbon was looped and added under the larger flower with dimensionals.

The flowers are from the Merriest Moments bundle and were stamped using Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

The larger flower was doubled and a single flower on each side was tucked slightly behind the center flower.  Iridescent Pearls were added in the flower centers.

A closer look at the WHITE flowers.  I love the slight sheen created from the embossing powder.
