Grassy Grove & Aspen Tree Dies Sympathy Card

Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge #495.

This inspiration photo is beautiful!  I love the different colors in the background along with the silhouettes of the trees.

For my sympathy 

card I chose the Stampin' Up! Grassy Grove stamp set along with the Aspen Tree Dies and Blending Brushes.

The background is Basic White cardstock and the next layer is Basic Black cardstock which was adhered with dimensionals.

I decided to create the same blending colors on the envelope flap as well.

The background was created using Blending Brushes.  I began at the top with Blackberry Bliss ink, darker at the top and working my way down.  Next, I used Daffodil Delight, making sure to leave a little white space between the colors.  After I was satisfied with that color, I gently added it over the white portion to blend it all in.

The next color I used was Mango Melody, closer to the bottom, making it darker especially along the sides.  Finally, I added Calypso Coral along the very bottom, which you can barely see in the photo.

I blended in a little more of the colors as needed.

Next, using Memento ink and the tree stamps from the Grassy Grove stamp set, I stamped the images along the bottom of the card.

The large die is from the Aspen Tree Dies which was adhered with liquid adhesive over the blended and stamped cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set, inked using Memento ink and die cut from Mini Pocket Envelope Dies.  I tied the Black & White Gingham Ribbon in a bow and adhered in the upper corner with liquid adhesive.  The sentiment was adhered with dimensionals.

Champagne Rhinestones create the final touch on my card.

Inside my card I decided to blend the Blackberry Bliss ink at the top, using my blending brush and Daffodil Delight along the bottom and stamped a tree image with Memento ink.

The sentiment is from the Inspired Thoughts stamp set and also stamped using Memento ink.
