In the Moment Stamp Set & Sneak Peak of Sending Smiles

 Hello!

Today's card was created using the In the Moment stamp set and Sending Smiles stamp set (which will be available May 3rd when the new Stampin' Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog goes live)!

I'm also using one of the new In Colors - Sweet Sorbet (available May 3rd).  What a pretty color!  You will want to add this to your list of "must haves!"

I started with the Sweet Sorbet cardstock base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4.

I then embossed the basic white cardstock (measuring 5 1/4 x 4) with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder, which created such a beautiful background for my card.

The image was stamped on basic white using Memento ink and cut at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4.  I used several Stampin' Blends to color the lady staring out the window (hopefully taking a breather and relaxing).  I used the following Stampin' Blends:

 - Night of Navy, Light and Dark Stampin' Blends for her pants and her barrette; 

-  Petal Pink, Light and Dark Stampin' Blends for her top and coffee/tea cup; and, 

-  So Saffron, Light Stampin' Blends for her hair.  

I decided on the Old Olive, Light and Dark Stampin' Blends for the two pillows.

I'm not the best at coloring, but I gave it my best shot.  It's true, the more you play around with the colors, the better you get at it... and it actually becomes kinda fun!

Ok, once the image was complete, I mat that onto a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock 

measuring 3 x 3.

I stamped the envelope flap as well as the front of the envelope using the flower from the Sending Smiles stamp set.  I used Daffodil Delight Ink as well as two of the new In Color Ink Pads: Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party. 

This awesome stamp and die is also from the Sending Smiles set, which I couldn't want to use!

I stamped it with the  Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad, using my Stamparatus to make sure I inked everything enough... and just what I thought might happen, I missed a part of the image, so I was easily able to re-ink my stamp and press it down again to get the full image.  The beauty of the Stamparatus!  If you don't have one of these, you really should.  It's amazing!

The image was then cut using the die cut and adhered onto the card using dimensionals.

Birthday Wishes was also stamped using Sweet Sorbet Ink on a scrap piece of  basic white, cutting each end at an angle and also adhering with dimensionals.

I finished off the card by adding the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots (available May 3rd).

This beautiful flower image was also stamped inside the card.  And now my birthday card is complete and ready to give to someone.

I have a card to share that was created using the Nature's Beauty stamp set and the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper.  This is a great masculine card.

• I started out with the basic white cardstock base cut at 8 1/2 x 4 1/2, scored at 4 1/4. 
• The striped DSP was cut at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
• Basic white cardstock was layered on top cut at 5 1/4 x 4.
• And finally, the leaves DSP is the final layer cut at 3 3/4 x 5.
• Black twine was wrapped around all three layers and tied in a know on the right.

• Using Early Espresso ink, the deer image was stamped on basic white cardstock cut at 3 x 4.
• The grass was stamped with Old Olive ink.
• Pebbles enamel shapes were added among the grass to look like stones.
• The "dots" behind the deer was stamped using Crumb Cake ink, using a scrap paper to cover the deer as I added the dots around the image.

• Finally, the sentiment was stamped from the Paradise Palms stamp set, using Memento ink.
• The basic white cardstock with image was then adhered to the card using dimensionals.
• The envelope flap was decorated with the black and white striped DSP, which finished off the card.

Art Gallery Thank You Card

 Hello on this beautiful sunny day here in North Carolina!

Today I'd like to share a card that I created using a mixture of stamp sets and dies.  You can see the product list at the end of this post.

The envelope flap was embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

Here's a closer look.  As you can see, I used two embossing folders.  The white cardstock was embossed with the Hammered Metal 3D folder.

The "dots" behind the floral image was stamped with Bumblebee Ink, using the stamp from Quiet Meadow stamp set.

The floral image was stamped using Memento ink and colored with Stampin' Blends, Light Just Jade and Light Soft Sea Foam.

The floral image was also stamped inside the card with Just Jade ink.

Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper Layout

Happy Monday to you all!

I have a layout to share using Stampin' Up! products.  That's right, and it was a challenge for me.  I am a huge scrapbooker and have LOTS and LOTS of papers and supplies for scrapbooking, and I'm slowly building up my SU supplies also.

Since becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Jan of this year, I decided to challenge myself to create layouts using only SU products. 

Let me tell ya, I was not sure where to even begin!  The hardest part was choosing the patterned papers!

I usually have a process when scrapbooking.  Photo, papers, sketch and then everything usually falls into place.

This is my creation titled, "Hugs, hugs"

My son and I this past Christmas.  He is a hugger so I wasn't surprised when he gave me a big bear hug before the photo was snapped!

A few close ups

The background papers are from the Hand-Penned DSP.  I chose three colors from the Subtles cardstock, along with basic white and using the Tailored Tag Punch, created a "design" if you will behind the photo.

And no layout is truly complete (for me anyhow) until there are flowers and bling!  So, using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and the subtles cardstock, created these flower clusters.  I chose the Polished Dots to add around the flowers to finish off my layout.
