Here's another card I wanted to share that was created for another Card Swap for June. I love participating in card swaps because not only do I get to create my own card, but I also receive that same number of cards back, which is so cool! Sometimes these cards I receive are starting points for my own card ideas. Plus, it's really cool to see all the fun folds too!
For my "Thanks" card, I used Stampin' Up! Spotlight on Nature Stamp Set, Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder & Country Lace DSP.
I started with a card base in Misty Moonlight.
The Basic White was embossed with Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. One or two drops of Misty Moonlight re-inker was added on the inside cover of the Misty Moonlight ink pad. One or two drops of water was then mixed with the Water Painter and splattered onto the background by tapping the Water Painter on your finger, until you get the desired effect.
The image was inked with Versamark and then Misty Moonlight ink and quickly added Clear Embossing Powder to the image and heat set with the Heat Tool for a little shine on the image.
The butterfly was stamped with Memento ink on Country Lace DSP and fussy cut. The wings were curled slightly upward using your fingers and adhered only on the body of the butterfly with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Linen Thread was wrapped around the layers and tied in a bow.
The sentiment was stamped Misty Moonlight ink, trimmed and flagged on the right. The sentiment was then gently pressed into the ink pad to ink the three sides and adhered on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Inside my card, the leaf image was stamped with Smoky Slate ink.
The Basic White strip was also embossed and ink splattered to resemble the front of the card.
Embellishments are Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls. These neutral-colored pearls are the perfect color that coordinate with lots of different DSP.
DSP was also adhered on the envelope flap and trimmed.
