When Stampin' Up! announced that they would have a scrapbooking line of products, I couldn't wait to get my hands on these Close To My Heart Workshop Kits!
I have to say, I love them! It makes creating a single or double layout so much easier when you have a variety of coordinating products!
The first Workshop Kit I purchased, which is actually a Close To My Heart product (sold by Stampin' Up!), is called "Secret Garden Workshop Kit."
My layout is titled "Beautiful."
I began by adding shading around the DSP with a Blending Brush and Boho Blue ink. After adhering the three strips of coordinating papers, I created splatters using Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Marker and flicking the brush tip on the inside of the cap. Additional splatters were added using Wink of Stella.
For my page title, while the sticker was still on the sticker sheet, I created an Ombre effect with a Blending Brush and Pretty in Pink ink, only adding color at the top of the word.
The three flowers were die cut from Boho Blue, Crushed Curry and Pretty in Pink. Using a Blending Brush and inks in the same colors, I added color around the edges of the petals and in the center. I also used a Bone Folder to lightly curl the petals up. The centers of the flowers are actually the tiny buds from a die in the set. (You can see the yellow and pink buds on the stems of flowers on each side of the larger flowers).
Using the die and patterned paper to match the flowers, I simply added the "buds" in the center of the flower in a circle with the last bud adhered in the center. Wink of Stella was brushed over them to add a little sparkle.
The leaves were die cut from Old Olive & Granny Apple Green. Shading was added on the leaves with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow inks.
These large flowers were super fun! After die cutting the flowers and leaves, shading was added on each die cut shape. Dimensionals were added behind the top part of each layer.
The ribbon is White Diagonal Trim, which was tied in a large bow and adhered behind the larger flower.
