It's time again for the Spring 2024 Creativate Retreat!
By registering for the Early Bird registration, I also received four fun fold tutorials. Being an Early Bird has its perks! Even though the early bird registration has passed, you can still register for the Retreat.
Registration is now open right up until the retreat on April 19-20, 2024! Sign up now and become a member of the private FB group to share your projects and see what others create. The demonstrators you can register with are Sharon Armstrong, Brandy Cox, Jackie Bolhuis & Connie Stewart. Choose a demonstrator and join in on all the fun! Learn tips and techniques as well as fun cards and projects. You will have access to all the tutorials so you can create as much as you want! The live videos are so fun, giving you a chance to comment, laugh along and learn how to create fun projects! Plus, you also have a chance to win prizes and who doesn't love that!!
Pre-Retreat Challenges are posted each Monday for a month, until the retreat goes live. These pre-retreat challenges are a great way to get your creativity jump-started.
The Pre-Retreat Challenge #1 is a challenge from Brandy Cox - Paper Strip Background.
Here's the card I created using Everlasting Beauty & Heartfelt Hexagon Stamp Sets along with Countryside Inn DSP.
Basic White was used for my card base.
The flower was stamped with Memento ink and colored with Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight & Boho Blue Stampin' Blends Markers.
The sentiment is from Heartfelt Hexagons Stamp Set, stamped with Night of Navy ink, trimmed and flagged on each end and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Embellishments used are Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems.
On an additional piece of Basic White measuring 2 1/2" x 4" the DSP strips were adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, in various directions.
Boho Blue Textured Ribbon was wrapped around the seams and tied in a bow. Mini Glue Dots keep the ribbon in place.
With all the white cardstock layers plus the white background, it's hard to see where the card actually is. But, you can see the paper strips along the left. I also added a strip of ribbon to hide the seams and make it look more finished.
On the envelope, I stamped a partial flower image.
