It's time to begin creating Easter cards! It will be here before we know it!
I created this card for the...
Inspire.Create.Challenge #360.
For my "Happy Easter" card, I used Stampin' Up! Excellent Eggs Bundle, Stylish Shapes Dies, Basics 3D Embossing Folder and Lighter Than Air DSP, Blending Brushes and Water Painters.
Pool Party Cardstock was used for my card base followed by a layer of Basic White and finally the Lighter Than Air DSP.
Baker's Twine Three Color Pack - the Balmy Blue and Lemon Lolly together, were wrapped around the background layers and tied into a bow.
The two strips of Basic White were embossed with Basics 3D Embossing Folder. Splatters were created on the Basic White with Water Painters and Pool Party ink. While the ink pad is closed, squeeze the center of the ink pad to get a splotch of ink on the inside cover. Open up the ink pad and using your water painter, squeeze a drop of two of water onto the ink splotch, mix it up and fill your painter with the mixture and gently hit the water painter onto your finger to create the splatters. The Basic White strips were layered onto Pool Party with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then these strips were adhered onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The circle was die cut with Pool Party cardstock and Stylish Shapes Dies (2nd largest die). Color was added around the edges of the circle with a Blending Brush and Pool Party ink, lightly adding only along the edges.
The Easter egg was stamped onto Basic White with Memento ink. The image was colored with Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lolly & Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Markers. The image was then die cut with the egg die from Excellent Eggs Dies.
Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots embellishments were the finishing touches on my card.
To create the sentiment, tape was adhered over the word "Easter," inked with Pool Party ink, remove the tape and stamp the "Happy" onto Basic White scrap. Clean the stamp.
Then the word "Happy" was covered with tape, inked and the tape pulled off and stamped onto Basic White, leaving enough room for the bunny image in between the words.
The bunny was stamped onto a Basic White scrap with Memento ink and die cut. Wink of Stella was brushed over the bunny for a little sparkle. The bunny was adhered between the sentiment words with Stampin' Dimensionals.
DSP was adhered onto the envelope flap and trimmed.
Inside my card is DSP layered with Basic White. The sentiment was stamped with Pool Party ink and the bunny image in the lower corner with Memento ink.
