Poised Peony Card

My card was created, as part of the Design Team, at...

Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge #651.

For my card, I used Stampin' Up! Poised Peony & Everyday Details Stamp Sets, Stylish Shapes & Spotlight on Nature Dies and Wildly Flowering DSP.

My card base uses Bubble Bath with a layer of Basic White and Wildly Flowering DSP. These layers were adhered on the card base with Stampin' Dimenisonals.

The floral image was stamped once with Memento ink. To create a mask, I stamped the image on Masking Paper and fussy cut close to the lines of the image and adhered it over the stamped image.

Next, I stamped the image again with Memento ink. The mask was removed. The flowers were colored with Moody Mauve & Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends Markers and the leaves with Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blends Markers.

The image was then die cut using Stylish Shapes Dies (2nd largest).

For the mat behind the stamped image circle, I die cut another circle using Spotlight on Nature Dies and Bubble Bath.

The sentiment is from Everyday Details Stamp Set, stamped with Moody Mauve ink, trimmed and cut at an angle on the right and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Two strands of Linen Thread were tied in a bow and adhered on the stem of the stamped image with a Mini Glue Dot.

To finish off my card I used Iridescent Foil Gems.

Inside my card is DSP layered with Basic White. The floral image was stamped once and again without reinking for a lighter image.

Two of the smaller flower images were stamped with Memento ink and colored with Moody Mauve, Mossy Meadow and Bubble Bath Stampin' Blends Markers. The flowers were die cut. and tucked behind the Basic White and Bubble Bath layers and adhered in place with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using the larger peony image, I stamped the portions of the stamp with Memento ink (to get only the leaves). The leaves were then fussy cut, colored and tucked behind the smaller flowers and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Wink of Stella was brushed on each of the flowers.

DSP was adhered on the envelope flap and trimmed.
