Thinking of You Card

For my "Thinking of You" card, I used Stampin' Up! Perfectly Penciled DSP, Stylish Shapes Dies and the sentiment is from the Lasting Joy Stamp Set (which will be available May 2nd in the 2023-2024 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog).

Black is not a cardstock card base I tend to reach for, but for this card, I felt it would be a better choice.

I got out my Stampin' Blends Markers to color the images on the Designer Series Paper - Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Sweet Sorbet, Pale Papaya & Fresh Freesia.

The sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! Lasting Joy Stamp set (available May 2nd in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog) which was stamped using Memento ink and die cut from Stylish Shapes Dies.
The circle was also die cut from Stylish Shapes Dies.

Brushed Brass Butterflies finish off my card with a touch of gold.
The background was embossed using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder.

The flower image behind the sentiment was fussy cut from the DSP.  I was hoping to catch the Wink of Stella that was added on these flowers for a touch of sparkle, but it doesn't show in the photo.
I adhered it onto the circle with dimensionals.

Inside my card is a layer of Basic White cardstock with a 3/4 inch strip of DSP along the bottom, which I also colored with Stampin' Blends.

DSP was also added on the envelope flap.  I did color this as well, which made my card and envelope set complete and so full of color!

  1. Beautiful, Polly - you were so right to use the black! It really makes your perfect colors pop! Love your lovely flowers here, and that's fast becoming my fave EF, lol. Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!

  2. The floral design seems to flow from one panel, through the center to the other as your stamped images are closely matched to your designer paper. I like the use of the black & white cross hatched paper in the center background. Thanks for getting sketchy with us at As You See It Challenges.

  3. I like the classic colour combination you've used. The vines lead the eye from top to bottom of the card front in a very pleasant way. A lovely interpretation of the sketch! Thank you for joining us at As You See It Challenge.

  4. I love the black and white base you chose - it compliments those coloured flowers beautifully. The flowers flow from one panel to the other with the central circle really bringing the card together. Thanks for playing with us over at As You See It Challenge!
