Masculine cards have always been a challenge for me. So when the team card swap theme was masculine, I had to participate!
I created this card with LOTS of layers for A Stamp Above April Team Card Swap using Stampin' Up! Textured Notes & Country Birdhouse Stamp Sets, Framed Scenes Bundle, Timeless Plaid DSP, Woven Textures DSP & Birchwood 3D Embossing Folder.
The card base is Basic Beige with the next layers Mossy Meadow, another layer of Basic Beige, Pebbled Path, the framed from Woven Textures DSP and finally Basic White (which the image is stamped on)!
The Mossy Meadow layer was stamped with a leaf image from Textured Notes Stamp Set.
The Pebbled Path was embossed using Birchwood 3D Embossing Folder.
The frame was die cut using Framed Scenes Dies and Woven Textures DSP.
I'm not sure what this technique is called, but I love how it turned out.
The image was inked with Mossy Meadow ink and used the Stampin' Spritzer to lightly mist the stamp before stamping onto Basic White for a slightly softer image.
Using a Blending Brush and Boho Blue ink, color was lightly added above the trees for the sky.
A Blending Brush and Crumb Cake ink was used to lightly add color around the die cut frame as well.
Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots were added on the embossed Pebbled Path in the upper right.
The sentiment is from Country Birdhouse Stamp Set, stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. Because there were already so many layers, no dimensionals were added behind the sentiment.
Inside my card is Mossy Meadow layered with Basic Beige. The sentiment is also from Country Birdhouse Stamp Set, stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
