The card I'm sharing today was created for our October Team Card Swap.
The monthly team swaps are so fun... and not just making the cards but receiving a stack of different cards as well! From these cards, you will get so many ideas to create even more cards! Yay!
Each month is a theme for our cards. This month was to create a card using a bundle or stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Sept. - Dec. 2024 Mini Catalog.
I chose to use the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle, along with Sweetest Star & Reindeer Fun Stamp Sets, Nests of Winter DSP, Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty DSP, Gold Foil Sheets & Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
Cherry Cobbler was used for my card base with a layer of Basic White and DSP.
The Basic White was embossed using Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. Using a Blending Brush and Coastal Cabana ink, color was lightly added randomly, which highlights the snowflakes a bit. Wink of Stella was splattered on the background as well.
DSP was cut at a diagonal and adhered on the bottom portion of the embossed layer. Cherry Cobbler & Gold Satin Ribbon was wrapped around the seams.
The birds were die cut from DSP, making it quick and easy.
Behind the birds is a half wreath image stamped with Memento ink and colored with Shaded Spruce, Lost Lagoon & Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Markers. The half wreath was cut in half, because the curve of it was too much. This made it a little straighter.
Pine branches were die cut using Gold Foil Sheets and tucked behind the images.
The sentiment is from Reindeer Fun Stamp Set, stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
Iridescent Foil Gems are the finishing touches on the card.
Inside my card is a 1" strip of embossed Basic White and color added with a Blending Brush and Coastal Cabana ink (the same as on the front of the card). Wink of Stella was also splattered on it.
The sentiment is from Sweetest Star Stamp Set, stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
