Try a Sketch on Tuesday (TSOT) Challenge #660.
A fun sketch, once I figured out what to use as the focal image!
For my "Christmas" card, I used Stampin' Up! Sweetest Star Stamp Set, Reindeer Fun Bundle, Sweetest Star Punch, Golden Greenery Dies, Sentimental Christmas DSP, Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty DSP & Gold Foil Sheets.
Basic White was used as my card base with another layer of Basic White which the Gold Foil Sheets and Sentimental Christmas DSP were adhered to. Then adhered on the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The DSP was cut twice at a diagonal to create four pieces. Gold Foil Sheets were cut into two strips and adhered on the Basic White layer. Then the DSP pieces were adhered as well, leaving enough space so you can still see the gold.
Wink of Stella was splattered on the background to add just a little sparkle.
This jolly Santa was stamped with Memento ink and colored with Poppy Parade, Basic Black, Shaded Spruce & Petal Pink Stampin' Blends Markers. The image was die cut using Sweetest Star Punch.
Wink of Stella was brushed on Santa's hat and belt buckle.
The spray behind Santa is from Golden Greenery Dies, die cut using Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty DSP. The pine sprigs (also from Golden Greenery Dies) were die cut using Shaded Spruce. Once placed where desired, the pine sprigs were adhered in place with Mini Glue Dots.
The sentiment is from Reindeer Fun Stamp Set, stamped with Garden Green ink, trimmed and cut at an angle on each end.
A strip of White Diagonal Trim Ribbon was adhered behind the sentiment and a loop created on the left and adhered in place with a Mini Glue Dot.
Real Red & White Baker's Twine was threaded through the loop and tied in a small bow. This was then adhered on the card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here's a closer look at the 3D Santa. The shape was die cut from Basic White twice with the Sweetest Star Punch. Each layer was adhered together with Stampin' Dimensionals. And also adhered on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. So, lots of dimension!!
Iridescent Faceted Gems are the fun embellishments surrounding the Santa.
Inside my card is a strip of DSP along the right of Basic White. The sentiment is also from Reindeer Fun Stamp Set, stamped with Garden Green ink.
DSP was, as always, adhered on the envelope flap and trimmed.
