Serene Hello

My card was created for...

Try a Sketch on Tuesday Challenge #664.

For my "Hello" card, I used Stampin' Up! Everyday Arches Stamp Set, Spotlight on Nature Dies, Serene Love DSP & Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder.

For my card base, I used Lost Lagoon with layers of Basic White (embossed with Zinnia 3D Embossing Folder) and Serene Love DSP.

In the upper corner, the circle was die cut using Spotlight on Nature Dies.

The flower was fussy cut from DSP and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The Silver & White Sheer Ribbon was colored with Lost Lagoon Stampin' Blends Marker and looped behind the sentiment.

The sentiment is from Everyday Arches Stamp Set, stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and adhered on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Riverside Irregular Pearls are the embellishments.

Inside my card is Basic White with a layer of DSP along the bottom and an additional partial flower fussy cut from DSP.

DSP was also adhered on the envelope flap and trimmed.

Woodgrain Background Sending Hugs

Have you noticed the Stampin' Up! Wood Textured Specialty Paper? I haven't used it simply because I forgot about it.

I created my "Sending Hugs" card using this Wood Textured Paper as a very cool background, Stampin' Up! Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, Storybook Moments Specialty DSP and a Brayer.

My card base is Crumb Cake with layers from the Storybook Moments Specialty DSP and Wood Textured Specialty Paper.

To make the wood texture stand out more, I used a Brayer and Pecan Pie ink to roll over the raised areas and bring out the wood grain.

The Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon wraps around the center. The sentiment is from Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

The tag and wreath behind the squirrel are from Washes & Florals Tags Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

The cute squirrel is from Storybook Moments Specialty DSP, adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I doubled up a strand of Linen Thread to create a double bow which was adhered at the top of the tag with a Mini Glue Dot.

The embellishments are Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems.

Inside my card is Basic White with a strip of Wood Textured Paper along the right and a small leaf die cut in the lower corner.

Faux Tile Technique - Thinking of You

Sometimes a technique catches my eye that I just have to try! This is what happened with the Faux Tile technique.

Know how to paper weave? Know how to heat emboss? That's all that's needed for this fun technique.

My "Thinking of You" card uses Stampin' Up! Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, Spotlight on Nature Dies, Fruit Salad DSP along with Clear Embossing Powder.

Daffodil Delight was used for my card base with layers of Granny Apple Green and Fruit Salad DSP.

Various coordinating strips of DSP were weaved. I trimmed the edges for a more even look.

Now the fun part! Press the Versamark ink pad onto your weaving and heat set using Clear Embossing Powder. Repeat this process 4 or 5 times, depending on how "glossy" you want your weaving to look. This is a super cool technique!

The circle was die cut using Spotlight on Nature Dies.

The flower image and sentiment were taken from Greeting for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

Gold Twisted Thread was looped into a large bow and adhered behind the flower which was then adhered onto the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The embellishments are Iridescent Foil Gems.

Inside my card is Basic White with the leaf die cut also taken from the Greetings for All Ephemera Pack.

Faux Fabric Birthday Card

This card came together quite quickly using the Stampin' Up! Wildflower Birthday Specialty DSP & Sticker Sheet. I also used Round We Go Stamp Set & Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder to create the faux fabric.

Pretty in Pink was used for my card base followed by layers from Wildflower Birthday Specialty DSP.

I used an existing image from the Specialty DSP Sticker Sheet to create my faux fabric technique. I took the "sticky" from the sticker image by using my Embossing Buddy to tap on the back until the sticky was gone. Next I distressed the edges using an open pair of scissors. I embossed the image and distressed the edges a bit more.

The image was embossed using Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder. The edges were distressed and using my fingers, folded in and bent the edges further.

The sentiment is from Round We Go Stamp Set, stamped using Pretty in Pink ink.

For the embellishments, I used Party Dots.

Inside my card is a 1" strip of DSP along the bottom and the sentiment stamped using Pretty in Pink ink as well.
